Our Parker bag is handmade by our fair trade partner using 100% GOTS certified organic cotton canvas and genuine upcycled saris.

GOTS stands for "Global Organic Textile Standard", and this important certification ensures that textiles are produced organically, without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and maintains compliance with high standards of social and ecological responsibility.

GOTS certification further warrants that products within its system are produced free of harmful chemicals and that the entirety of the supply chain engages in the responsible and efficient use of natural resources—like minimizing water usage and energy consumption.

You absolutely can—but the spin cycle can stretch & warp your bag, and hot water can shrink it. That said, we've had success using the gentle cycle, then hanging to dry.

We suggest spot cleaning with a stain remover (test an area first & follow the manufacturer’s directions). Or, you can use baking soda mixed with a bit of warm water (create a paste, apply it to the stain and let it sit for 5–10 minutes—then, wipe it off.

If your bag needs more than spot cleaning, hand wash it with mild soap & lukewarm water. Scrub gently to avoid damaging the cotton fibers. Hang the bag to dry.
