This mission lock ensures that our environmental & societal vision will be maintained—regardless of changes in organizational structure or sale of the business.

Ethically Sourced Materials & Sustainable Products
Olive+Comet goods are made the right way, with the right stuff—like Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified cotton, partially recycled glass, fair trade natural rubber, ceramic, brass and stainless steel—never plastic or silicone.
We choose the company we keep carefully. Olive+Comet works with reputable, ethical & certified organizations who source low impact materials, utilize fair labor practices and work proactively to keep their manufacturing & supply chains sustainable.

Fair Labor & Supply Chain Transparency
We make decisions based on what is right. In step with our values, we support fair labor practices and choose suppliers who take care of their people and work for our planet. We vet manufacturers to ensure their practices align with our standards for sustainability and ethical business—and we work with absolute transparency.
We’re happy to share information about our products, including what they’re made of, where they’re made and by whom. It’s these details that set us apart and a notable strength of our business model.

Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Certified Procurement Policy
Olive+Comet maintains a purchasing policy that requires the paper products we produce—like branded hang tags and product inserts—use only materials that have been certified by the FSC®.
Choosing FSC® certified products ensures that our business supports the responsible management of the world’s forests, further benefiting our company’s mission by reducing our impact on the natural world.
Our sustainable print vendor of choice, greenerprinter, is FSC® certified (and a certified B Corp as well) utilizing soy & vegetable-based inks with 0% Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).

Plastic-free Packaging & Carbon Reduction Funding
Our shipping materials are plastic-free, 100% recycled, curbside recyclable and high in post consumer waste content (PCW) diverted from landfills. Much of our packaging is also FSC® certified.
All shipping operations produce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Using tools that include Shopify Planet and Ecologi, in conjunction with vendor arrangements, Olive+Comet purchases carbon offsets and funds certified carbon reduction projects that equal or surpass the emissions generated during shipping operations.
